Christmas Lights in McAdenville

McAdenville Christmas is a treasured tradition in the Charlotte area. McAdenville calls itself Christmas Town USA, and for good reason. For more than 60 years the Christmas lights display has drawn visitors to this small town west of Charlotte and east of Gastonia. Hundreds of thousands of lights set the scene for holiday displays.

Carowinds Winterfest

November 21-Decmber 20

Come for the sights, sounds and festive fun of the holiday season during Winter Fest. This event is packed with holiday spirit and unique experiences for friends and families to enjoy. Experience Carowinds like never before and become immersed in the season’s spirit with a grand display of holiday lighting, festive décor, live entertainment and fanciful experiences, including a selection of your favorite rides.

Speedway Christmas

December 1-December 6

Speedway Christmas has returned to Charlotte Motor Speedway, and it’s bigger and better than ever! The 11th edition of Charlotte’s spectacular drive-through light show features more than 4 million lights over a remarkable, 3.75-mile course that includes most of the oval as well as the infield and the ROVAL™! But you can do more than just look  – listen, too! Tune into 101.3 FM to enjoy Christmas music as you take in illuminated Christmas displays at the light show, which is open even when it rains!


A Christmas Story at the Lancaster Community Playhouse

December 1- December 6

The Community Playhouse of Lancaster County, Inc. was founded in 1972 by a group of forty-five people who met at the Christ Episcopal Church.  The community playhouse is a real community theatre.    The board is made up of 15 individuals that show an interest in bettering the community through theatrical arts. Enjoy a live performance of A Christmas Story to get you in the spirit of Christmas!

Winter Wonderland Holiday Market at the Anne Springs Close Greenway Dairy Barn

Enjoy a “Sip & Shop” bar on the grounds where hard cider, wine and beer will be available for purchase from 11am-3:30pm.
This event will be held rain or shine at the Dairy Barn Entrance. We’ve expanded to the Comporium Amphitheater this year, featuring live music throughout the event and more vendor variety.

Virtual Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade in Fort Mill

December 5

As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Town will be hosting a virtual Tree Lighting event this year. The Tree Lighting Event will be prerecorded, but will feature the music and festivities that attendees look forward to, including school choirs, dance productions, our Strawberry Queens and the lighting of the Town’s Christmas Tree. There is even snow in the forecast! The video will be available to view beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3. The video will be available on the Town’s website, as well as its Facebook (@fortmillsc) and YouTube (fortmilltv) accounts.

Christmas in City at the Lancaster City Hall

Visit downtown Lancaster for Christmas In the City and vote for your favorite shop window featuring Dr. Seuss themes from his much-loved children’s books. There will be free photos with Santa at City Hall and free trolley rides to downtown open houses, art sales, L & C Railway Museum, and lots more.

Christmasville Holiday Farmers Market in Rock Hill

December 5-December 6

Watch Old Town Rock Hill will come alive as a charming, picturesque holiday village and outdoor art festival. This award-winning festival has over 70 events including horse-drawn carriage rides, historic tours, strolling Dickens carolers, art, theater, dance, music, a gingerbread house contest, multiple Santa activities, and a REAL ice skating rink!

2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at Lore Brewing

Things may look a little different this year, but those Christmas Sweaters are gonna be just as ugly as ever! Join us for a full day of socially distanced activities, beer, music, food, and fun!
